After a delicious dinner at Max Brenners, my friend and I decided to head for 5th Ave where there’s more people because it was just sad in Union Square. Took the wrong train and ended up a block from Time Square! We couldn’t see the ball but rather the reflection of it. Even though we were so close to the crowd somehow everybody missed the count down and confetti were flying everywhere. A piece flew straight into my arms! Although it was a very confusing and hectic way to start the new year, I’m so glad to have spent it so differently from all the past new years and with my best friend. Maybe next year I’ll aim for the front of the crowd!
